MISSED SALES OPPORTUNITIES

Find missed sales opportunities in customer calls.
The need was there. Make it visible.

An order enquiry can contain a new project, a request for another product or an unanswered buying question. AUDIO helps managers find these moments and review what happened before deciding on the next step.

What counts as a missed sales opportunity?

A missed opportunity is a commercial need that appears in a conversation without an appropriate exploration or next step. It might be a question about an additional product, a new site, a larger order or a need the customer assumes you cannot address.

An upsell signal is related but different: it concerns an additional or higher-value offer. A missed opportunity concerns what was left unexplored. A customer mentioning a project is a reason to investigate, not evidence of a guaranteed sale.

From a flagged call to an informed follow-up.

Use the missed-opportunity filter in AUDIO to find relevant calls. Read the summary, inspect the transcript and return to the audio passage when needed. Check the customer’s history so the team understands whether another colleague has already addressed the request.

  1. Identify the need and the exact words the customer used.
  2. Check what the agent proposed and what was agreed.
  3. Qualify relevance, urgency and ownership with the team.
  4. Prepare an appropriate follow-up in your usual commercial process.

Ask the question that the first conversation missed.

In the fictional example above, a customer mentions opening a second location during a delivery enquiry. The useful response could be: “What will you need for that location, and when?” It opens a conversation without assuming a budget or forcing an irrelevant offer.

A manager reviewing the call can identify the information still missing: scope, timing, decision-maker and permission for follow-up. The action depends on the context. Sometimes the right outcome is a referral to a colleague; sometimes there is no suitable offer.

Turn the pattern into a training scenario.

If the same buying signals go unexplored across several calls, coach the behaviour behind the pattern. Work on listening for a project, asking a qualifying question and agreeing a relevant next step.

Use AUDIO’s AI training module to rehearse that situation. A manager can review the scenario and criteria before assigning it. Revisit comparable real calls later to see whether the agent now explores the need more consistently.

Track what happens after the signal.

Keep detected signals, qualified opportunities and completed sales separate. A useful review records why a signal was relevant, who took ownership and what happened after the follow-up. Use your existing sales process to track the commercial outcome.

Do not turn every flagged call into assumed revenue. For a fair assessment, review false positives and consider customer suitability, availability and timing. The detection supports a decision; the team still needs to make it.

Questions managers ask.

Does AUDIO follow up with the customer automatically?

This workflow helps managers find and review opportunities. The team prepares and performs the follow-up through its usual commercial process.

Can customer-service calls contain commercial opportunities?

Yes. A customer may mention a new project or product need while asking about an existing order. The priority remains to address the original request and understand the context.

Can I see an example before requesting a demo?

Yes. The interactive walkthrough on the homepage includes a fictional missed-opportunity call and a search filter you can explore.
